Applications

1. Pesticides
Used for the synthesis of pinacolone, which is used for the synthesis of various new types of bactericides, plant growth regulators and insecticides, such as triadimenol, diclobutrazole, triazolone, paclobutrazol, biloxazol, uniconazole, tebuconazole, etc.

2. Pharmaceutical
Used to manufacture dipivefrin, which is widely used in the production of penbritin, amoxicillin, cefazolin etc.

3. Initiators
Used to make tert-butyl peroxypivalate, which is to produce free radicals, with working temperature low to -50oC, and features high efficiency, short induction period and short cycle time. Also used as a high-efficiency initiator.

4. Coatings
Used to product polyacrylic ester coatings, which enjoys better luster and gloss retention compared with regular initiators.

5. Other applications
Pivalic acid ester can be used as perfume for shampoo and fancy soaps. Also used for sensitive material, metal extractant, for wood preservation, etc.
